Samsung Omnia W gets FCC Approval – North America Arrival Soon?

This week Samsung’s Omnia W Windows Phone was approved by the FCC.  This isn’t the first time this phone has gone through FCC trials but it made it through this time.  According to Engadget, the phone has WCDMA and HSPA over the 850MHz spectrum for 3G support but little else is known about the phone.

Given how similar the Omnia W is to the Focus Flash on AT&T, it is unlikely this phone will hit the US shores but our northern neighbors in Canada could very well see it.  This would be good news given the low number of Windows Phones available in Canada.  Exactly… 1.
