Watch The Google Event on YouTube

Today was a big day for Google and users of their platforms & solutions.  As expected, Google announced the new Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P, Android Marshmallow and two new Chromecast devices at the event held in San Francisco.  In addition, they also announced the Android Marshmallow based Pixel C which will be available later this year.

If you did not have a chance to watch or if you simply want to review all of the announcements, Google has now posted the entire event on their YouTube channel.  This is what was shown live earlier today so you won’t be missing anything if you didn’t get a chance to watch it live.

Google’s Big News – What Do You Think?

So what do you think about everything that was announced?  I for one was excited about everything that was announced, especially the updates coming to Google Photos and Chromecast.  I think

these are great additions to these apps in addition to the Google Play Music family plan that is coming soon.

Overall I thought the entire event was great and it certainly flowed much better than previous events.  There are times like these events where it is easy to see that the company is an engineering and software company (read: stiff presentations).  This one however was much better and I thought the ever rotating staff on stage was a nice touch.  It gave a bit of flavor to the whole thing and a bit of personal perspecitve.

Not to spoil your watching but the new Nexus phones are available for pre-order today and they will start shipping at the end of this month.  The two new Chromecast devices are available today and they are only $35 each.
