For those of you who have been waiting for a 1TB version of the Microsoft Surface Laptop, you wait is over – unless you want any color other than Platinum. Microsoft has made their ultimate rendition of the laptop now available for purchase. It had been on pre-order for a while but now anyone who has the cash can pick one up.
The price is an eye watering $2699 and for that, you get an Intel i7 powered machine, 16GB of RAM and the afore mentioned 1TB SSD for storage. You can order yours here.
The Surface Laptop has been aimed both in function and design to compete with the MacBook from Apple and so far, has received solid reviews and customer satisfaction. It has a 13.5″ touchscreen display and weighs just 2.8 pounds so it is designed to be used on the go. It also has an impressive 14 hours of battery life.
While this top end machine is priced at $2699, you can pick up a more reasonable but still well equipped model for $999.
Also remember that the Surface Laptop lineup ships with Windows 10s which only allows apps from the Microsoft Store to be installed and requires you use Microsoft Edge as your browser. There is, however, a free upgrade to Windows 10 Pro through the end of the year if you want a bit more flexibility.
