Verizon’s Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 Tablet Gets Android Marshmallow Update

For those of you who own the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 on the Verizon network, it is a good morning for you.  The carrier has begun rolling out the Android Marshmallow update for the tablet today, bringing the latest major version of Android to it.  The updated build, according to Verizon’s support site, is MMB29K.T817VVRU2BPE1 for those keeping score at home and it will come to you as an OTA update.  You can expect about a 1GB download which you will need to do via Wi-Fi and once you have the download, the installation will take about 20-30 minutes and require a reboot.

Verizon Releases Marshmallow Update For Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge

Verizon has started rolling out the Android Marshmallow update to customers who have the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge on their network.  The updates will come to users as an OTA update and it could be several days before everyone sees it.  The updated version you are looking for on your device is build MMB29K.G920VVRU4CPC2 and that is the same build for either device.  This update is a big one, approaching 1GB in size, so you will have to make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi before the update will download.

LG G5 Now Available In The US At Major Carriers

If you have been wanting to get your hands on the latest flagship phone from LG, the LG G5, you can go to any of the major US carriers and pick one up starting today.  AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon all have the device available for order on their sites and most of them should have the device available for pick-up at their larger stores.  If you are planning on trying to get on in person today, be sure to call ahead to make sure your local retail outlet has the device in stock.

Marshmallow Starts Rolling Out To Verizon LG V10 and Sprint Galaxy Note 5

The adoption of Android Marshmallow continues today with the release of the latest supported build of Android coming to both the Verizon LG V10 and the Sprint Galaxy Note 5.  For those of you on Verizon who have a V10, the build you are looking for is VS99022A while on Sprint, the version you want to get for your Note 5 is N920PVU2BPC3.  As with all of these update, they are rolling out in phases so it make take a day or up to a week for it to actually come to your device.  Once it does, you will have all of the benefits of Android Marshmallow including things like Doze and more robust app permissions.

T-Mobile & Verizon One M8 Seeing Marshmallow

After what could only be described as a snail’s pace for the release of Android Marshmallow by manufactures and carriers, the last few weeks have been more of a frantic pace.  Last Friday I posted that the Galaxy Note 5 on Verizon was seeing the latest version of Android start to roll and today the carrier along with competitor T-Mobile have begun the release of Marshmallow the HTC One M8.

US-based carrier Verizon has released the Android Marshmallow update for the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 to customers on their network.  The update brings all of the goodness of Marshmallow but also brings some specific features from Verizon like Wi-Fi calling and improvements in Live Broadcasting.  As you would expect, this update is hefty, so you will have to be connected to Wi-Fi in order to download it to your device.  Once downloaded, it will take up to 10 minutes to install and will require a reboot of your Note 5.  For those keeping score, you will be looking for build MMB29K.N920VVRU2BPB2 for your Note 5.

Blackberry Priv Finally Makes It To Verizon

After debuting on AT&T some four months ago, the Blackberry Priv is finally making its way to Verizon.  You can now order the Blackberry flagship device and their first running Android on the Verizon website while in store purchasing will be coming on Friday, March 11th throughout the United States.  Online, the carrier is offering the Priv for $30 per month for 24 months (a total of $720) or you can buy it outright for $720.

Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge Pre-Sales Start Today

As expected and announced, the new Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are now available for pre-sale from AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint and Verizon.  All four of the carriers started taking orders today with an anticipated delivery date no later than March 11th.  All of the carriers have the 32GB version of these devices as Samsung has made no plans to sell the 64GB versions here in the US.  While the prices for the devices varies a little, all of them have financing plans available to get you the new phone without having to necessarily come up with $600+ dollars today.
