Windows Mobile 6 Information

This week is a significant week in the history of Windows Mobile.  The latest version, 6.0, has been living under the project codename of "Crossbow" for many months now and has been a long awaited update to Windows Mobile 5.

Over the next several days Clinton Fitch (Dot) Com! will strive to bring you the latest news and information about Windows Mobile 6 and post that information on these pages.  A full review of the new OS will be available in a few weeks as well.

As a member of the Windows Mobile community I strongly encourage you to visit other community sites such as Gear Diary, PocketPC Thoughts, Smartphone Thoughts, Geek.com, Engadget, The ::Unwired and others who will have coverage of the release as well.  Simply put, there is too much out there for one site to cover it all!

To start, download the Windows Mobile 6 Fact Sheet by clicking the link below.  This PDF document will give you a good overview of Windows Mobile 6 and all of the new features.  This is produced by Microsoft and copyrighted by Microsoft.

A big change in Windows Mobile 6 are the naming conventions used for the devices.  This is going to be quite a change as the terms "PocketPC" and "Smartphone" are being officially retired.  What is taking their place?  Give this link a read to get the full scoop!
