The Lumia Storyteller App for Windows Phone has received a nice update, bringing some new controls and features to the timeline based app for your photos. If you are not familiar with it, Lumia Storyteller creates a timeline of your photos and videos on your Windows Phone where photos lumped together in a storyboard like fashion. It is a great alternative to Photos on Windows Phone.
In your timeline you can browse your stories and modify them, then view them as slideshows or share them with friends. You can also sort your photos and videos by location, add captions and create a list of favorites, and when you’re looking at a photo you can zoom out to see where you took it on a map.

In the update of the app, which is available now in the Windows Phone Store, you can select folders for content for the app. So now

you can bring in photos from your OneDrive Pictures folder as an example. There is also now a no music option for videos that have been put into your stories so you can have the ambient sounds of the video in your story. Long press for context menus has come to the app so there is far less navigation required and finally the support for offline maps has been improved.
If you have a Lumia Windows Phone you should give Lumia Storyteller app a try. It can be a good bit of fun to use but it actually is a great way to organize you photos. The app is free and requires your Lumia Windows Phone to be running Windows Phone 8 or 8.1.
