Fitbit for Windows Phone Gets Updated for Surge Support

The Fitbit for Windows Phone app received an update yesterday that brings support for the newest Fitbit tracker, the Surge, along with some visual improvements and performance enhancements.  The update is available now and it does require that your device be running Lumia Cyan to work properly and do the background synchronization between the tracker and your Windows Phone.

and a Quick Calorie logging.  Tied into this is significant improvements around Cortana.  Cortana now allows you to do activity logging, quick calorie logging and has in general improved around food logging. The big visual changes in Fitbit for Windows phone are around the new charts in the app.  The new semi-transparent look to the charts goes in line with the recently updated Fitbit for Windows app so you get the same look and feel across both apps regardless of platform. After updating to this latest release, I found that syncing between my Fitbit Flex and my Windows Phone was much more reliable and certainly quicker than it was prior.

Fitbit for Windows Phone is free and available now in the Windows Phone Store.
