Lumia Denim Beings Rolling to Lumia 925 and Lumia 1020 on O2 in England

It’s been a big day for Lumia Denim.  In addition to the Lumia Icon for Verizon getting the update, those of you in the UK and on O2 should start seeing the update over-the-air on the Lumia 925 and the Lumia 1020 now.  This is something that O2 announced a few weeks ago that would be coming.

As a reminder, you can read my Guide to Lumia Denim and my Lumia Denim Rollout Guide for more detailed information on the release and the rollout process.

If you are a reader in the UK on O2, I’d like to hear how your update process went.  Tweet me up or leave a comment to let me know.

The dominant story of the day certainly has been Lumia Denim but here in the US, outside of the Lumia Icon on Verizon and the Lumia 830 on AT&T, no devices officially have been updated through the carrier process.  AT&T has said that the update is coming to their lineup of phones “soon” but as of today, they now do not have the most up-to-date flagship phone.  The Lumia 1520 still is on Lumia Cyan.

The rollout of the update has been problematic for Microsoft and speaks to the problem they have of the carriers controlling the update pace.  It simply makes the wait too long for consumers.
