Microsoft continues to improve their apps for Android and the latest update to Outlook for Android is a case-in-point.  The latest update brings with it a much improved Agenda Widget which you can install on a page on your Android phone to give a quick glance at your upcoming events.  This update, version 1.2.9 for those keeping score at home, also brings performance improvements and bug fixes to the email, calendar and contact app.

The new Agenda Widget for Outlook for Android by default can now show double the number of meetings over the previous update.  By default you will now see four but this widget is expandable to show more.  I personally like using it as a whole page on the start screen of my phone but you have the flexibility to do as you like.  The Agenda Widget can show any number of calendars that

Aside from this new Widget, this update to Outlook for Android brings the mysterious performance improvements and “numerous bug fixes”.  As always, we don’t quite know what was changed within the app or what was fixed but if you have been having an issue with the app, download this update and see if it improves things for you.

Outlook for Android can sync a wide range of email accounts including Exchange, Outlook.com, Office 365, Gmail, Yahoo Mail and iCloud.  It is a free download in the Google Play Store
