Netflix for Android App Updated with UI Tweaks and Fixes

The Netflix for Android app has received a minor update this morning, bringing with it some UI tweaks and various bug fixes.  The update will vary in version number based on your device, but on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 running KitKat, it is build 3.12.0 build 4529 for those keeping score at home.  The updates are not going to be overly obvious but is still a worthwhile update to get if you use the app frequently.  In my case, I had issues with it crashing when I had multiple apps open.  That appears to have been resolved in this update.

From a UI perspective, you will have to look hard to see the changes but it mostly comes down to a slightly improved layout when you start the app to resume the shows you are watching and to see what Netflix is highlighting as a show to watch.  Again, they are not overly obvious changes but very subtle to make the usability of the app a little better.

As is always the case, there are minor bug fixes in this release of Netflix for Android.  The release notes do not document exactly what was changed or fixed but in my case at least, my crash bug seems to have been resolved.

The Netflix for Android app is free but does require you have a Netflix account.  Plans start at $7.99 per month and you can get more information on the Netflix website.
