Chipotle App Update Brings Google Wallet Pay Support

I’m a big fan of Chipotle and their app is one of the better food/restaurant apps out there. It makes ordering your favorite burrito from your local store where you can pick it up to enjoy at work or at home. Now it just got a little bit better. With the update that is now in the Play Store, version 2.2.0 for those keeping score at home, the Chipotle app will now let you pay for your food with your Google Wallet.

Before this update, you could pay for your order with a credit card or a Chipotle gift card in the Chipotle app.  Now when you check out you have the option to use your Google Wallet to pay.  Aside from this new payment method, there are no other changes in the app.

While Google Wallet has had some success, it hasn’t been ubiquitous by any stretch. That said, more apps are now integrating with Google Wallet and equally, more retailers are accepting it as a form of payment.

The Chipotle app is free and available in the Play Store now.  You can register for a free account within the app which will allow you to store things like credit cards and favorite locations.
