Real Racing 3 Gets A Massive Porsche Update and New Daily Rewards

Just a month after its big Le Mans update, Real Racing 3 has received another massive update that brings a host of new features, cars and tracks.  If you are a Porsche fan, you will just love this update!  Even if you aren’t, the new daily reward system is much improved for those who play the racing sim daily and want to race against your friends?  It’s easy now with the Android Party Play functionality built into the game.

The latest update to Real Racing 3 is build 3.5.2 for those keeping score at home and it is a massive 581MB download.  You will absolutely want to be connected to Wi-Fi to download it so you don’t eat up a chunk of your monthly data allowance. 🙂

For you Porsche fans, you now have the famous Leipzig test track to race on with your cars.  The track features three distinct layouts and in the new Lions of Leipzig challenge, you will race all three throughout the 7 day challenge.  If you get through that challenge you will win yourself a shiny new Porsche 918 Spyder Weissach.

Along with the Porsche additions, there is also a new Speedrush TV Challenge 2, building on the first of the series release earlier this year.  In that series you can also compete to win a Porsche, this time a Boxster GTS.

Perhaps the single biggest change in the game play of Real Racing 3 is the new Daily Rewards.  Previously you would earn an extra percentage of dollars for winning your first race of a day with the percentages getting bigger each day you played the game in a row.  That maxed out at 5 days however and you would stay at 100% for that first race each day until you missed a day.  Then you got to start over.

Now the Daily Rewards is much more diverse. Now you can get rewards like gold coins to spend on upgrades to your cars, cash and other things across a month, not just a week.  It’s a big change that a lot of players of the game (Clinton raises his hand) have wanted the FireMonkey/EA Sports team introduce.  It should make the game a bit more fun and a bit easier to get rewards for further car enhancements.

Another big changes is the new Android Party Play.  Now you can use Bluetooth controllers connected to your Android device to play in a 4-player local split-screen.  Think of this as the modern version of a “LAN party”.  If you & your friends are together and all have the game, now you can race against each other, together, in real life.

While Real Racing 3 is free, there are in-app purchases and you can pretty much expect at some point to have to make one or two.  In-App purchases range from .99 Cents to $99.99.
