Bose Launches Google Assistant Powered Headphones

Google’s continuing effort to “Google Assist all the things” continues with an announcement from Bose this morning on a new wireless headphone that is available today.  The new QuietComfort 35 II brings all the greatness of the original QuiteComfort 35, but with an added Action button that allows you to access Google Assistant.

The new Action button is located on the left earpiece and by pressing it, you activate Google Assistant.  The headphones have a built-in microphone which has noise reduction for improved accuracy.

There are some other improvements to the new QuiteComfort 35 II in addition to Google Assistant.  The company has improved the noise cancellation functionality and allows users to control more of what they want to hear and what they don’t want to hear.

The announcement of this new Bose headset is likely the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Assistant enabled headphones.  Google themselves are expected to announce their own headset at the October 4th Pixel event.  Further, Google Assistant continues to expand into 3rd party home speaker solutions like Google Home and the Mountain View company has been openly providing APIs for developers to use to get Assistant into their apps and hardware solutions.

Right now the new QuiteComfort 35 II headphones are only available from Bose directly.  It is available in Black and Silver and both color options are indicated as being in stock.
