Red Bull TV Joins Google Home as a Casting Option in The US

Red Bull TV has joined the ranks of HBO Now Netflix and CBC All Access as being casted to your Chromecast enabled TV from Google Home.  Now using Google Assistant, you can ask for content from the service without having to manually do so from your phone or tablet.  Even better, no account linking is required.

To try it out, just say, “Hey Google, play How to MTB on my TV” and the show How to MTB from Red Bull TV will be casted to your television.  If you aren’t familiar with RBTV, you can check out all their shows here.

It is not clear if only shows and re-broadcasted event will be available or if live events can be shown too.   Also, this feature only works in the United States currently.

RBTV joins an ever growing number of services that you can cast directly from your Google Home.  These include:

  • Netflix
  • CW
  • CBS All Access
  • HBO Now
  • YouTube TV
  • Crackle
  • Viki

As mentioned, RBTV is only available to cast from Google Home here in the US.  there isn’t any indicator on when or if it will be coming to other regions.  Currently the US lineup is by far the richest available but hopefully readers in Europe and APAC will get more content soon.
