Back in May, Google announced three new phones were coming to the Mountain View company’s MVNO service, Project Fi. At the time of the announcement, the Moto G6 was immediately available while the LG G7 and LG V35 were slated to be available in June. While it is a few days late, both of the LG flagships are now available to order.
The LG G7 ThinQ is priced at $749 ($31.21 per month for 24 months) while the LG V35 ThinQ is priced at $899 ($37.46 per month for 24 months), putting it up there from a pricing perspective with the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL.
The addition of these two LG phones means that now current Project Fi customers as well as those considering the service have six devices to choose from, ranging from the budget friendly Moto G6 currently at $199 all the way up to the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. Also further signals that while it still bares the name “Project”, Fi by all indications is here to stay as Google continues to invest in it and in expansion of the available devices. I have been a Project Fi customer now since October 2015 (you can read my original review of it here) and I have no problem recommending it. I started with the Nexus 6, then the Nexus 6P, the Pixel XL and now the Pixel 2 XL. It has been a great service for me and if you travel any amount of time overseas, Fi is one of the best values on data and calls with its flat rate scheme.
