The AT&T Windows Phone options for customers and those looking to move to the carrier will take a nice step forward this week. Yesterday the carrier announced that the Microsoft Lumia 830 and HTC One M8 Windows Phone will both be making their debut on the their network on Friday, November 7th. Customers will have the choice of no less than four Windows Phone devices with AT&T, with the Lumia 635 and Lumia 1520 to the lineup.
Months behind their competition, Verizon and Microsoft are finally working on the Lumia Cyan update for customers. The news comes from Microsoft’s Joe Belfiore via his Twitter account where in two separate Tweets gives everyone an update on the update for Verizon customers.
In the first Tweet, Belfiore states that Lumia Cyan is coming to Verizon but it will be “farther off”
This isn’t great news for Verizon customers given that AT&T has Lumia Cyan and Windows Phone 8.1 out on their devices and T-Mobile will have it out on all of their devices shortly. Still, I suppose it is progress. It’s the second Tweet however that made me really scratch my head.
For those in the Windows Phone Preview for Developer program, a new update to Windows Phone 8.1. Update 1 is now available for download. The build number for this release is 8.10.14157.200 and is available to everyone in the program. Remember that you can join the Preview for Developer program for free by downloading the app and registering your device. More details at the end of this post.
All the interwebs are a flutter now that Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1 has been released to those on Developer Preview. It seems many of you upgraded your Nokia Lumia’s to the latest from Redmond yesterday so you could take advantage of things like Live Folders and Cortana if you live outside of the United States.

Here we are on Monday and the rollout has begun. The update has been rolling out to DP members globally with several key improvements and enhancements now available on their devices.
