Thank You for a Phenomenal 2017!

Today will be my final “day in the office” for 2017 and this post is the final one for the year.

And what a year it has been.

I cannot thank you enough for all the support and visits you have made to the site over the course of the past 12 months.  2017 marks the 14th year that ClintonFitch.com has existed in some form or fashion with the past 5 years focused on Android and Chrome OS.  It will go down as one of the best years ever.

In total, 952 articles were posted on the site this year and more unique visitors came to the site in 2017 than ever.  Compared to 2016, this year saw a 37% increase in overall visitors.  Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Looking deeper into the analytics of the site, the most read article for the year was the How To on getting the old Google+ look back when it changed early this year.  Ironically, that article was first published in November 2015 when the new look to G+ started rolling out.  But apparently a whoooole lot of you wanted the old look back!

Funny enough, the second most read article was related to using OTG and Android.  It too was written in 2015 but was really popular this year.

I’ve been very transparent with readers of the site that it is supported by my own funds and those funds received through Google adverts and Amazon affiliate links.  Thank you for clicking those ads and affiliate links.  They help pay the bills and keep things up and running.

If there is one disappointment for the year it is the few numbers of you who have downloaded the site’s app.  I’m hoping more of you will give it a try in 2018 and if you have tried it, give me feedback so I can try to improve the experience.

Looking forward to 2018, it will be more of the same.  The plan is to keep primarily focused on Android and Chrome with a smattering of other topics and opinions.  It is an exciting time for both platforms and I think that the continued injection of Google Assistant into them will bring even more functionality and personalization of your device.

So again, thank you for a fantastic 2017.  I hope each of you have a wonderful New Year celebration and I look forward to seeing you here on the site.

Clinton
