The G Suite team has announced that 23 new pre-integrated apps have been added to their SAML Single Sign-on (SSO) support in the platform.  SAML is one of two SSO standards that are supported by G Suite and additional apps being supported means that it is easier for Admins to get their users enabled across various services used by their organization.

For those who may not be familiar with Single Sign-On, the hint is somewhat in the name.  SSO allows a domain user to use their network username & password to sign into other services that their organization uses.  It cuts down on users having to remember several passwords but also gives admins greater control and recover tools for those additional services.

As part of a promotion to kick of Spring, the Huawei Mate 10 Pro is now on sale for $649.99 through various retailers including Amazon.  The special promotional pricing will be good now through April 14th.  That is a savings of $150 off the regular price and is the lowest price so far on the flagship phablet from Huawei.

A new commit in the Chrome OS Gerrit points to an exciting new features for Chromebook users who need to access shared network resources.  It looks like the platform is going to be gaining native Server Message block (SMB) support, and it may be as soon as Chrome 68

For those that may not be familiar with SMB, it is a client-server communication protocol used for sharing access to files, printers, serial ports and other resources on a network.  If you have ever accessed a network based file or printer, odds are very high you accessed it via SMB.

Just a few days after the Android Oreo update for the Galaxy Note8 began rolling out for AT&T customers, Sprint and Verizon customers are now starting to receive the update.  It means that three of the four major carriers in the United States have begun the updating process for their customers.  Only T-Mobile remains.

For readers who are on Sprint, you are looking for build N950USQU3CRC2 for your Note8.  For those of you on Verizon, the company hasn’t officially announced the update is available so a build number is not known.  However, multiple sources have indicated that Verizon is indeed rolling out the update.
