Microsoft To Release Revolve for Windows Phone

Several sources today are citing that a new calendar and contact mashup app is soon to be released by Microsoft.  Revolve for Windows Phone will bring the you information about people you are going to be soon meeting from multiple sources.

Revolve, an upcoming app for Windows phones which melds aspects of a calendar and contact manager, and presents you with information about people you’re going to meet with that it’s collected from multiple sources.

This concept certainly isn’t new but it would bring a new level of information and interaction for the Windows Phone platform.  LinkedIn and Evernote both offer similar solutions for iOS while Google has recently announced its new calendar app for Android that does a similar function.

HTC One M8 Windows Phone Comes to T-Mobile US

The HTC One M8 Windows Phone is now available from T-Mobile in the United States for $0 if you sign up for a 2 year contract.  It is the second carrier in as many weeks to pick up the latest Windows Phone offering from HTC after the M8 was exclusive to Verizon over the summer.  Last Friday the phone made its debute on AT&T.

The popular Vivino app for Windows phone has been updated this week with several new personalizing features including a new Personal Taste Profile.  I reviewed Vivino Wine Scanner a few months back and it remains one of my favorite apps for rating wines I try and getting ratings for a bottle before I buy it.  It is a gem of an app.

Microsoft Lumia Rebranding Continues on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube

The Microsoft Lumia rebranding continued this week with Microsoft continuing to rename all things Nokia and Windows Phone.  The latest changes have happened over the weekend and include the Windows Phone and Nokia channels on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.  This has all been in a larger effort to get the Microsoft Lumia or just Lumia out in the marketplace.

MSN Apps for Windows Phone Get Mystery Updates

Overnight the MSN apps for Windows Phone were updated and you should see those notifications on your device now.  What was updated?  That’s a great question.  It is a complete mystery as there are no release notes in the app notes for them.  This isn’t the first time this has happened.  If you remember back in October we got a similar update of mystery.
