Apple Watch Series 3 LTE Now Available in Four New Countries

Four new countries, Sweden, India, Denmark, and Taiwan, have been added to the Apple Watch Series 3 LTE roster.  Customers in these countries can now pick up the cellular version of the latest generation of smartwatch.  The LTE variant is now available in a total of 16 countries globally.

In Sweden and Denmark, 3 is the carrier that provides the LTE coverage for the watch while in Taiwan, you have five different carrier options:  Taiwan Mobile, FarEsTone3, Telecom3, Chunghwa, and APT3

New Commits Indicates Snapdragon 845 Powered Chromebooks Could Be Coming Soon

Based on a new commit in the Chromium source code for Chrome OS, it looks like a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845-powered device may be in on its way.  The commit refers to a new board that is powered by the 845, which was reveled earlier this month.  During that event, Microsoft committed to having an always connected Windows laptop based on the Snapdragon 845 and it would seem that previous challenges between Qualcomm and Google have been overcome.

The new commit clearly calls out the “qc845” processor on the “cheza” board with references to it made in the chipset-qc845/profiles/base/make.defaults section of the notes.  It calls out the ARM processor 64-bit kernel configuration and architecture.

Further, the notes call out the “qc845” as the processor to be used.

T-Mobile Set to Acquire More 700MHz Coverage In The Chicago Area

T-Mobile has announced an agreement with Leap Licenseco, an AT&T subsidiary, to acquire a section of A-Block 700 MHz band for extended LTE in the greater Chicago area.  Although the deal has to be approved by regulators, once it is complete, it will give the carrier extended LTE bandwidth in the top 10 major metro areas in the United States.  For those not familiar with the 700 MHz block, it is what allows the carrier to get LTE into remote places as well as into buildings in urban areas.  This is represented by Band 12 on their network when you access it on your phone.
