Download The HTC 10 Wallpapers

While we are still a few weeks away from the launch of the new HTC 10 from HTC, the leaks around this device have been, well, more like a stream than a leak.  When it does launch on April 12th, I suspect there won’t be much mystery to it over than the final specs of the camera (which have been touted as “world class” by HTC) and the price.  One thing you don’t have to wait on however are the wallpapers from the device.  The stock four wallpapers that are coming on the device are right here and ready for download.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition Available for Pre-Order

The all new Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has just hit theaters but that doesn’t mean you can’t pre-order your digital copy of the movie.  Over at the Google Movies & TV portion of the Google Play Store, you can now place an order for the Ultimate Edition of the movie for $19.99.  This extended version of the movie gives you around 30 minutes of additional footage and in comes with the original theatrical version of the movie too.  So for the same price as the movie only, you are getting the extended version too.

Swarm Update Brings Improved Stats and History of Your Check-ins

Foursquare’s social check-in app Swarm has seen a nice update over the weekend for most users, bringing a lot of changes and new information for users.  The update is version 4.0 for those keeping score at home and it started rolling out to the Google Play Store on Friday.  Most users by this point probably have the update via an OTA but if you don’t, you should see it any time.  For those who aren’t familiar with Swarm, it is an app where you can check into places and earn virtual coins as you climb the ranks amongst your friends.  These coins can be spent on stickers which multiply your score throughout the day or week.

Google Nexus 9 Tablet Back On Sale at Amazon

The Google Nexus 9 tablet is back on sale again at Amazon with the 32GB, Wi-Fi model at $299.99.  Originally this model sold for $479.99 so you are saving $180.  Keep in mind too that the Nexus 9 has already been upgraded to Android Marshmallow (and you get the updates fast since this is a Nexus device) and it is eligible to be upgraded to Android N when it is released so you are somewhat future proof for the next year on this tablet.

Marshmallow Starts Rolling Out To Verizon LG V10 and Sprint Galaxy Note 5

The adoption of Android Marshmallow continues today with the release of the latest supported build of Android coming to both the Verizon LG V10 and the Sprint Galaxy Note 5.  For those of you on Verizon who have a V10, the build you are looking for is VS99022A while on Sprint, the version you want to get for your Note 5 is N920PVU2BPC3.  As with all of these update, they are rolling out in phases so it make take a day or up to a week for it to actually come to your device.  Once it does, you will have all of the benefits of Android Marshmallow including things like Doze and more robust app permissions.

Android Wear Update Brings Improved Connection Between Your Watch & Phone

The latest update to Android Wear is rolling out in the Google Play Store, bringing with it improved connectivity between your watch and your phone.  The updated build is version 1.5 for those keeping score at home and the new feature essentially takes the Wear app and allows you to turn off the battery optimization so your phone communicates with your watch on a more consistent basis. In other words, it forces the app to stay connected to your watch even if your phone is in Doze mode.

Let me explain.

Improved File Export Formats Comes to Google Sheets and Google Slides

On the Google Apps blog, the company has announced that a wider range of file export formats are coming to both Google Sheets and Google Slides in an update to both Android apps released today.  The apps already allow exporting to popular formats such as Excel, PowerPoint and PDF but these new updates bring new formats that could be helpful if you are needing to send files to colleagues who don’t use the Google apps.

More Improvements Coming to Google+ for Android

The rebirth of Google+ continues with another update coming to the social & community site app for Android.  This latest update, version 7.5.0 for those keeping score at home, was announced by Googler Luke Wroblewski on his Google+ page and amongst the bug fixes in the update, there are also new feature to retry failed posts in the app.  In all, there are 34 specific bugs fixed in this release and 12 additional accessibility issues that are addressed so the team is certainly knocking them out at a pretty good clip.
