Swarm for Windows Phone has been updated with several new features including the ability to search your check-in history from within the app. The update, version 188.8.131.52 for those keeping score, is available now in the Windows Phone store online or through the Store app on your phone.
If you aren’t familiar with it, Swarm is the check-in and meet up app from Foursquare. This is the dedicated app for such activities after Foursquare separated it from the original Foursquare app which is more about localized content now. I’m personally not a big fan of the separated apps but I embraced the horror a few months back and have moved along.
The biggest part of the update is the searching of your check-in history. Now within Swarm you can find your check-ins with certain
friends, a certain category or in a city or particular place that you have been to. It is a cool way to see how many times you have been to a particular place (you say it is your favorite, but is it really your favorite restaurant?).
Along with this new search features, Swarm for Windows phone now makes friend suggestions and includes the obligatory bug fixes and some localization improvements.
The Swarm for Windows Phone update is free but does require a Foursquare account (also free) to be able to use it.
