Microsoft has released an update to their Device Hub for Windows Phone app, bringing support for the Lumia MD-12 Wireless speaker amongst other updates. The update, version 18.104.22.168 for those keeping score, is available now in the Windows Phone Store and is a free download. Lumia Windows Phones come with Device Hub so you have this app already and my not know it.
For those who aren’t familiar with what Device Hub for Windows Phone does, it allows you to connect and manage your other phones, accessories, tablets, computers, TVs, game consoles and other devices. It is, as the name suggest, a hub for you to access these other devices in your life.
The updates in this new version are specifically designed to allow you to control the Lumia MD-12 Portable Wireless speaker. The MD-12 is a
highly rated speaker with rich base sound and a 15-hour battery life (which is rechargeable) and is available at the Microsoft Store.
Along with support for the MD-12, the update for Device Hub brings general bug fixes and performance improvements to the app.
If you have a Microsoft/Nokia Lumia phone, Device Hub is already on your phone and this is simply a matter of updating. For those of you who have non-Lumia devices, this app should works as according to the release notes it is not Lumia specific.
