HERE has issued updates to their three main apps for Windows Phone, HERE Maps, HERE Drive+ and HERE Transit, all addressing the same issue with HERE account sign-in amongst other fixes. The updates are all available now in the Windows Phone Store and users of these apps should get the updates, especially if you have had issues signing into the HERE service or having issues with synchronization of your Favorites and Collections. HERE Maps is now at version 126.96.36.199, Here Drive+ is at version 4.2.5964.1 and Here Transit is up to version 188.8.131.52 for those keeping score at home.
In all three of the apps, the Release Notes indicate the same issues were fixed in all of them. First, sign-in to your HERE account issues have been fixed and should be solved now. They have also fixed synchronization of your Favorites and Collections in the apps so they will be synced with the HERE service for use later. There is also the obligatory bug fixes statement which likely means
some other performance enhancements.
Having performed the update I can say that I have found the login issues to be resolved within the apps and overall they seem to be a bit more snappy in their performance, particularly HERE Transit. Feature wise, I’ve not found anything new so it is business as usual from that perspective.
The updates range from 11MB to 14MB in size so all of them can be downloaded over-the-air on GSM.
I’m going to assume that most Windows Phone users are familiar with the HERE line up of apps which were on Nokia devices before the Microsoft acquisition of the company and are still produced by the Nokia (not part of Microsoft) team. They are all exceptional apps, particularly HERE Drive+ which I personally use as my turn-by-turn navigation app on my phone.
