Huawei P10 Receives Camera Improvements Update

The new Huawei P10 is just now hitting retailers for purchase and it has already received its first maintenance update.  The new 5.1″ phone has a small update that brings some improvements to the camera as well as general performance improvements.  Specifically, the camera app has been updated so it does not crash when launched or when you launch the camera from Google Assistant.  It also addresses an issue with the camera preview not rendering correctly.

Along with these camera improvements, the software update fixes some stability and performance issues on the phone.

The update is coming to all of the Huawei P10 phones:  The P10, P10 Plus and the P10 Lite.  If you have any of these devices, check for the

update by going into Settings.  The update is small, under 300MB, and it rolling out to EMEA devices first.  This makes sense given that the phone has been released there officially.  When the phone was announced at MWC in February, the company was pretty clear that the phone wouldn’t be coming to the US market, at least not as the P10.

As a side note, I currently have a P10 in house and will be reviewing it for the team over at Gear Diary.  Without giving away the plot, it is a phenomenal phone.
