Spotify Update Allows for Playlist Reordering – Finally

It has take a long while but Spotify has finally added the ability to edit your playlists.  The streaming music service has long had the ability to create playlist but to this point, they better be in the exact order you want the songs.  There was no way to edit the lists after the fact.  That, thankfully, has now changed.

So long as you have the latest version of the app, which is 8.4.61.683 for Android, you can go into a playlist that you have created and you will now see an edit option for that playlist.

Here is how it looks if you are curious as to where to find it when you open up the settings on a playlist

Once you tap the Edit playlist option, you will have the list of songs in your playlist displayed.  Simply tap-and-hold that song then drag it into the order you want it.

It is super simple but super effective.

Right now the feature is limited to playlists you have created.  It won’t work on playlists that you have followed on the service which makes sense given that those lists are curated from the company.
