For those of you who are customers, AT&T has released another update to their MyAT&T for Android app, bringing a host of new self service options around your account. The carrier has continued to evolve their app over the course of this year as they have continued to add services that you can access within the app without having to visit a retail store or even their website. These latest updates in version 4.6 of the app for those keeping score at home, include the ability for you to shop and add international plans, improved device management and a new, more personalized support tool.
The list of changes in the MyAT&T for Android app in this update is extensive. In addition to the international changes and device management, feature management has also been improved and made easier to add or change. If you need to manage authorized users on your account that has also been improved as well as a much improved order tracking and service activation experience.
Perhaps the biggest improvement in the MyAT&T for Android app is the new personalized help. Because AT&T will know the device you are using, the support tool provides you much richer
content related to your device and platform as well as the services you consume from the carrier. It should help in troubleshooting an issue with your device or service before you have to pick up the phone or go online to chat with customer service – and perhaps avoid that interaction all together.
Here are the highlights from the Release Notes:
- Find the right international plan for your needs with our new guided experience
- Simplified device & feature management
- Easy to use experience for managing authorized users
- Improved order tracking & activation experience
- Personalized help with a new support tool
- Performance improvements
While anyone can download the MyAT&T for Android app, you will need an AT&T account to access the best bits of the app as they are designed for their customers.
