Google Store Birthday Sale On The Nexus Phones

This time last year, Google launched the stand alone Google Store, the place where you could get your Google hardware like Nexus phones and tablets along with Chromecasts and other Googlely goodies.  To celebrate the store’s first birthday, Google has dropped the price of the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P by $50 on any color and configuration you want.  That means you can pick up the 5X for as low as $349 and the 6P for $499.  But funny enough, Amazon has an even better deal on these phones if you don’t mind certain colors.

At Amazon, you can get the 5X for as low as $299, a savings of $80, if you don’t mind having a black or white cover on the back of the phone.  You can also get the Nexus 6P with 64GB of storage in Aluminum for $474.99.  That is a a $75 savings off the regular price.   There are advantages to buying from either retailer so you can go with which one works best for you.  Both Google and Amazon offer buyer protection programs where you can get a replacement device if yours is damaged.

By far however, the best deal on the 5X is through Project Fi.  If you are willing and able to move to the Google mobile service, you can pick up the 16GB Nexus 5X for just $199.  The Nexus 6P

through Fi starts at $449 for the 32GB model.  Through Fi, you also have the option to pay these out interest free monthly as part of your bill.

The sale at the Google Store is now through March 27th while on Amazon, as usual, it is as long as they have them in stock.
