The Android N Developer Preview 4 was released earlier this afternoon and now those registered in the Android Beta program are seeing the OTA come to their devices. The update brings build NPD56N to your Nexus device and weighs in at a lightweight 168MB. The update brings all of the fixes and enhancements to the beta that I outlined earlier and, of course, brings the final API set to the device.
Yesterday I posted the stock wallpaper for the OnePlus 3 and based on traffic, a lot of you have enjoyed it. I’ve not collected all of the stock wallpapers that come on the device and have them here for you to download. In all, there are 5 wallpapers with the OP3 including the stock wallpaper with the “Never Settle” branding. All of these wallpapers were created by Hampus Olsson who was also the creator of the wallpapers for the OnePlus 2. The work is beautiful in my view and I thought the same of the ones for the OP2. The forth and quite possibly the final Developer Preview of Android N is now available for developers and those who are in the Android Beta program. The updated build number is NPD56N and while the OTA update for those enrolled in the Beta program hasn’t started rolling yet, it should be by the end of the day. Perhaps the biggest news in this update is that it contains what will be the final shipping version of the APIs (API 24) for the release. That means developers can start in earnest getting their apps updated for N.

Microsoft has once again updated their Android launcher app, Arrow Launcher, with some nice improvements. The update, version 1.4 for those keeping score at home, brings several improvements in user controls. For example, you can now hide page headers, a feature that many users of the launcher had requested. Users can also hid SMS preview on the People and Recent page. This change is done in the Settings of the launcher. Both of these changes represent the fact that Microsoft is indeed listening to users of their apps as both were heavily requested changes.
Samsung has announced that their contactless payment service, Samsung Pay, is now available in Australia. Australia becomes the fourth country that the service has been enabled, joining the ranks of the United States, South Korea and Spain. As you may remember, the service is also coming to Singapore on Friday of this week. While the countries the service is available is limited, Samsung has had a lot of success so far with the service, claiming some 5 million users of Samsung Pay are already registered across the available countries.

As everyone knows by now, the OnePlus 3 was launched today by OnePlus. You can get all the specs on this year’s “Flagship Killer” from the company from this post I made earlier. As with any new phone however, the real treat for many is getting the stock wallpaper. Now you can do that right here.
