If you have a Qi Wireless Charging compatible device, today over at Amazon you can pick up a great deal on a charging stand.  The EC Technology 2nd generation Qi Charging base is now only $11.99.  That is over 75% off the regular price of $49.99 and it is good while supplies last.

There are a wide range of devices that accept Qi charging including a wide range of Nexus devices.  The Nexus 4, 5, 6 and 7 (2013) all accept Qi wireless charging as well as a good range of Samsung devices.  You will need to double-check on your specific phone to see if it is compatible and yes, there are a few Windows Phone devices that will work on this too.

Today over at Amazon, you can pick up a great deal on the Samsung Chromebook 2.  While supplies last, Amazon has the 11.6″ model with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage down to $185.88.  That’s a savings of just over $64 from the regular price of $249.99.  The Samsung line up of Chromebooks have always been well received and highly rated for their performance, fit-and-finish and design.  On Amazon, this one has over 165 reviews with an average rating of 4.5/5 stars by other consumers.

Powering the Chromebook 2 is the Intel Celeron 2.16 GHz processor along with that 2GB of RAM.  It has an 11.6″ HD display that renders 1366 x 768, is only .66″ thin and weighs less than 3 lbs.  It also has 802.11ac Wi-Fi support for fast wireless access while you are at home or on the go.  The chassis is aluminium which makes it a far more durable Chromebook than others in this price range which are often made of plastic throughout.  As far as battery life is concerned, you will get 9 hours of life out of the unit so you can keep going all day.

At the beginning of the month I posted on the pre-order availability of the new Honor 5X over at Amazon.  As a reminder to those who did pre-order, those will start shipping on Monday, February 1st from the online retailer.

For those who didn’t pre-order, there is still time to do so on this feature packed phone that is only $199.  The Honor 5X has a 5.5″ 1920 x 1080 Full HD display that is powered by 1.5Ghz Snapdragon 615 Octa-Core processor.  It has 2GB of RAM, 16GB of Storage and can be expanded up to 128GB thanks to a MicroSD card slot.  It has a 3000 mAh battery, a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera.  Here in the US it will support LTE Bands 2, 4, 5, 12 and 17 and WCDMA bands 1,2,4,5 which means that it will work on any carrier here at some level.  Be sure to refer to my guide on LTE bands for more details on carriers here in the US and their LTE bands.

Earlier in the week, along with the Nexus 5X price drop, Google dropped the price of the Nexus 6P in Gold by $50.  That put the 32GB model at $449 while the 64GB model is at $499.  Now you can get that same pricing over at Amazon too.

The price matching at Amazon is not something new and generally after a week or two of exclusivity at Google, they match the price so their customer base can get the same price.  It’s a smart move from Amazon as their customers can use gift cards (or a combination of cards and credit cards) to pay for the device. The Google Store for now is credit card.

Once again the Nexus 6, last year’s flagship Nexus device built by Motorola, is on sale at Amazon.  The 32GB model is available for only $249.99 while the 64GB model is $299.99. That is a savings of $400 from when the phone was first released last year and this phone is still got plenty of swagger when it is compared to phones that are being released today.

I personally use a Nexus 6 as my daily driver and love this phone.  It has outstanding specs and performance and with it being a Nexus device, it already has Android Marshmallow running on it and I can use Project Fi.
