The second game of the Angry Birds franchise, Angry Birds Rio, has been updated for Android phones and tablets with an new coin bonus for completing 2 or 3 stars on each level. The new coin bonus is aimed to make it quicker and easier for players to get power-ups and other bonus features in the game without necessarily having to spend real money. The update is build 2.4.0 for those keeping score at home and even if you have been playing the game for a while, it is worth the update to get some new and improved power-ups.
With over 3 billion downloads and a host of theme and mini-sequel games, Angry Birds is arguably one of the most popular download ever for mobile devices let alone a game. Now Rovio Entertainment, the company behind the franchise has announced “the mother of all sequels”, Angry Birds 2. The announcement came on the company’s blog and while few details were given on how the game will play, Angry Birds 2 will be released on July 30th. That’s right peeps, a mere 14 days from now. Ask anyone who knows me and they will tell you I have an Angry Birds addiction problem. Angry Birds 2 will keep that addiction going, I’m confident.
My personal favorite version of the Angry Birds franchise, Angry Birds Seasons, has received a new 15 level episode honoring the NBA, aptly named NBA Ham Dunk. The new update also brings the game up to version 5.0.0 for those keeping score at home. It is the latest free update to the game which now sports hundreds of levels for hours (and literally I mean it) of entertainment on your Windows Phone.
Believe it or not, Angry Birds has been around for 5 years. I know, it made me feel old too. But cheer up ole’ chap, there are 30 new levels for you to play in the latest update to the original Angry Birds for Windows Phone. The update has been released in celebration of Angry Bird’s 5th “BirdDay” and the all new levels are inspired by fan art. It’s a classy way for the team at Rovio Entertainment to celebrate the day and certainly one of the more unique ways of doing it. The update is version 220.127.116.11 for those keeping score at home and is available now in the Windows Phone Store.
If you know me, you know I have an Angry Birds addiction problem. Need proof?

Yeah, I know. Intervention time. Anyway, for those of you who share my addition, you will be pleased to hear that there is an update for Angry Birds Star Wars II in the Windows Phone store today. The update, version 1.8.1 for those keeping score at home, brings 32 new levels to the game and, as always, the update is free.
One of the newer games in the Angry Birds franchise has hit Windows Phone and it is free. Angry Birds Stella for Windows Phone allows you to join Stella (the pink bird) and her comrades as she battles the bad princess and her piggies in over 120 levels of fun. Now if you know me, you know I have a serious Angry Birds addiction and Angry Birds Stella presents a whole new set of challenges even for seasoned players.
