First, the good news.  The entry level Nokia 3.1, as promised by Nokia when it was announced last month, is available in the United States.  It sells for $159 and is available from Amazon.  Now the bad news:  It’s sold out.

Obviously the fact that the phone has sold out is great news for Nokia but for those who were wanting to get their hands on the budget friendly 5.2″ phone powered by Android One, you are going to have to wait a while.

Latest Update to Google Keep Allows for Subtasks

The latest update to Google Keep is rolling out and with it comes a long needed and desired feature:  Indented lists.  By allowing for indention of lists, you can create subtasks and sublists in your main Keep notes, something that makes organization far easier if you are a heavy user of the app.

The new feature is very simple to use.  Simply create your list of items, with or without checkboxes, then drag the item to the right to create the indent.

Android Oreo Update for the LG G6 on AT&T Now Rolling Out

Following the release of Android Oreo for the LG G6 on Verizon and Sprint, AT&T has now begun rolling out the update to the phone on their network.  The carrier hasn’t updated their support page for the phone just yet but it should be the same build that hit the other two carriers.

Assuming that is the case, you can expect an update of around 1.8GB in size so it is certainly one you will want to download while you are on WiFi.  You’ll also need at least 80% battery remaining on your G6 before you can install the update.  Along with all the Android Oreo goodies that come with the update, you will be getting the May 2018 Android Security Update patch for your G6 too.

Developer Preview 3 for Android P Released

As expected based on the timelines provided by Google, Developer Preview 3 of Android P has been released for those in the Android Beta Program.  The release of this second public beta is an important milestone for the next version of Android as it finalizes the API set for the build so developers can begin in earnest testing and updating their apps to be compatible with them.

There are not a significant number of changes between the first beta build and this one overall.  Most of the updates are fixes behind the scenes as well as updating some security permissions, particularly how the phone call log is accessed.  There are also 157 new emoji in this build.

Google Calendar Update Bringing Notifications for Declined Events

A new, cloud-side update is currently rolling out to Google Calendar that is going to make it much quicker to see when an event has been declined by all invitees.  If you have sent out an invite and all attendees have declined it, you will now see a small exclamation point next to the event in Google Calendar.  You can then tap on that event and will see a prompt to reschedule the event given it has been declined.

The idea is that at a glance, you can look at your calendar on your phone and see the decline without having to actually open up the invite on your calendar to see who has accepted and who has not.
